ABOUT
Inspired by the unlikely pairing of algae and fungus, the Lichen Series explores the idea of survival through symbiosis. Lichen is a direct result of two organisms adapting to live together to thrive where otherwise the environment would be inhospitable.
The unique relationship became the foundation for a landscape that brings a lively intervention in NORA’s industrial setting. The project invokes how nature can reclaim and soften through connections developed within the built environment.
THE COLLECTION
Each piece was created to put organic forms into conversation with the industrial past of the site.
SITE IMMERSION
Enveloping the site with the beauty of the unlikely, the NORA parks site becomes a living playground that layers in human connection as the next strand of its DNA.
